Lesson 2 - Functions

Chan Long designs different saw blade teeth for different length and functions. The smaller teeth will make the surface smoother, in the other hand the bigger teeth are suitable for big branches. You can choose the appropriate tooth for your needs.
 
How to know the number of teeth Per Inch (TPI)?
Count the number of teeth in that one-inch space. That number of teeth is the blade's TPI. You can see the picture below and easy to judge:

6 TPI
  • Application: Gardening, fruit tree pruning and cut off.
  • Example: big branches and thick limbs
7 TPI
  • Application: Gardening, fruit tree pruning and cut off.
  • Example: large trees and big branches
9 TPI
  • Application: Gardening, fruit tree pruning.
  • Example: Apple trees, peach trees, pear trees and jujube trees.
11 TPI
  • Application: Fruit tree grafting
  • Example: Apple trees, peach trees, pear trees and jujube trees.
16 TPI
  • Application: Woodworking
  • Example: Lumber, wood studs, veneer, laminated wood and plywood.
17 TPI
  • Application: Bamboo and plastic pipe cutting.
  • Example: Bamboo, PVC pipe, PE pipe and plastic pipe.
